The Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG) in Frederick University and Frederick Research Center, engages with state-of-the-art research regarding sustainable energy resources and building physics.
SERG, accredited with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 , operates under high-quality standards and guarantees excellence and scientific reliability.(Quality Policy) (Environmental Policy) 


SERG activities include:

  • research in the fields of experimental and computational building physics, as well as in sustainable energy technologies

  • laboratory and consulting services

  • teaching activities under the undergraduate and postgraduate program of studies of Frederick University

RESEARCH

SERG has a record of ongoing research projects in which the Group is involved and demonstrates the implementation of its independent and high-quality research. SERG is currently actively involved in a list of research projects, either as a leading or participating partner.

CONSULTANCY

SERG is involved in consulting projects, offering its expertise mainly to the public sector. Consultancy for the elaboration of studies for the public sector include the following projects:

INFRASTRUCTURE

SERG's infrastructure includes three labs:

  • the sustainable solid fuels laboratory

  • the boilers laboratory

  • the building physics laboratory

 

SERG’s sustainable solid fuels laboratory is equipped with the required infrastructure for the physical, proximal and elemental assessment of solid fuels, including biomass and biofuels.
