The Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG) in Frederick University and Frederick Research Center, engages with state-of-the-art research regarding sustainable energy resources and building physics.
SERG, accredited with ISO 9001:2015, operates under high-quality standards and guarantees excellence and scientific reliability.
SERG activities include:
research in the fields of experimental and computational building physics, as well as in sustainable energy technologies
laboratory and consulting services
teaching activities under the undergraduate and postgraduate program of studies of Frederick University
SERG has a record of ongoing research projects in which the Group is involved and demonstrates the implementation of its independent and high-quality research. SERG is currently actively involved in a list of research projects, either as a leading or participating partner.
SERG is involved in consulting projects, offering its expertise mainly to the public sector. Consultancy for the elaboration of studies for the public sector include the following projects:
SERG's infrastructure includes three labs:
the sustainable solid fuels laboratory
the boilers laboratory
the building physics laboratory
SERG’s sustainable solid fuels laboratory is equipped with the required infrastructure for the physical, proximal and elemental assessment of solid fuels, including biomass and biofuels.
